Through the captivating rhythms of tap dance, the evocative melodies of live music, and the poignant prose of spoken word, we invite you to embark on a compelling journey through the intersecting themes of race, ethnicity, and immigration.

As the resounding beats of musical feet echos through the theater, intertwining seamlessly with soul-stirring live music and thought-provoking spoken word, we aim to ignite conversations, unearth truths, and foster a deeper understanding of the multifaceted tapestry of Blackness and American society at large. Come witness a groundbreaking fusion of art and advocacy as we illuminate the beauty, struggles, and resilience of those who call the United States home and the art form that is often marginalized yet continues to prevail.

“Mi Vida In Rhythm”

five member Ensemble | 2 Dancers - 3 Musicians

"Mi Vida, In Rhythm" is an enchanting show that features a live band performing a fusion of Caribbean and Jazz music. The immersive experience takes the audience on a journey from Honduras to the vibrant streets of New York City and Harlem, captivating viewers with its dynamic presentation. The first half of the show showcases traditional Garinagu dance, characterized by powerful movements and evocative lighting. The protagonist's progression from barefoot to soft shoe to tap dancing is accompanied by a rich exploration of embodied musicality. The essence of the performance lies in its improvisational nature, weaving together moments of playfulness and culminating in masterful tap dancing.

Workshop Series

Rates starting at $500

The series of workshops offers a blend of informative lectures and physical exploration of dance studies. It is specifically designed to delve into the history and various forms of dance rooted in LatinoX heritage and its conversation percussive dance. Participants will have the chance to partake in activities aimed at refining rhythm, body coordination, and musicality, while also gaining cultural knowledge and building confidence through the universal language of dance.
